World of Solitaire Developer InterviewThe Yahoo! User Interface Blog has an interview with World of Solitaire developer Robert Schultz.

World of Solitaire is a JavaScript-based collection of solitaire games that features excellent graphics, nice touches such as undo, statistics, autoplay, animation, and selectable card graphics. The collection offers a number of popular solitaire games including Canfield, FreeCell, Klondike, and Spider.

Robert built World of Solitaire using the Yahoo! User Interface Library (YUI), which is an open-source set of JavaScript utilities and controls for building richly interactive web applications. If you’re interested in seeing what goes on behind the scenes, and what it takes to build an application such as World of Solitaire, this interview is a fascinating read.

  1. Can you help me? I am looking for a solitaire game that someone showed me years ago. I just can’t remember how to play it. You kept the deck in your hands at all times. You turned over 4 cards at a time and did something. Then, moved them to the back of the deck and turned over the next four. It was great to play on planes, in the car, etc. It’s driving me crazy not to remember how to play. Help!!!
